Alexandra Hernandez

Principal, Medical Illustration & Multimedia Design

Alexandra has both formal art training and practical, marketplace design experience. She graduated with her Bachelors of Fine Arts in scientific illustration from The University of Georgia in 1997. After graduating she worked as a graphic designer and graphics development specialist where she honed her design and computer skills in both a corporate and freelance environment. She then returned to school to graduate with her Masters of Arts in biomedical communications from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas in 2004. The University of Texas Southwestern was one of only five accredited medical schools in North America to offer a masters degree for medical illustration.

Her skill set ranges from traditional drawing skills to more modern techniques such as 3D modeling and photography. She’s as comfortable in front of the monitor as she is behind the easel.
